Manchester United have made an improved offer of 46.4mn pounds for Sporting Lisbon captain Bruno Fernandes presenting another fresh turn in the longest running transfer saga of this winter window and possibly even that of last summer window. But the real question here is are Manchester United really interested in Bruno Fernandes as their first choice target or is the offer being made due to unavailability of other prime targets and out of compulsion to pacify a growing restless fan base.
Since Solskjaer has taken over the reigns at Old Trafford, the focus has been on correcting the wrongs of past few transfer windows, namely targeting young British talent in a so called cultural reboot.
With the transfer process over Bruno Fernandes being increasingly dragged out with the club valuing Fernandes at a much lower price than what Sporting has quoted, doubts have started to been raised on whether Manchester United are really in for Bruno Fernandes or is this just a transfer strategy of spreading information to show fans that the club is in market for some reinforcements in the January transfer window without any real intention to sign anyone only time will tell.

Its no secret that the prime targets Manchester United are after in attack are Jadon Sancho whom they failed to sign last summer due to their inability to qualify for champions league and Leicester City star James Maddison and Aston Villa captain Jack Grelish both of whom are going to be nearly impossible to get this January transfer window.
